Head to BMG Art on Halifax Street next Friday for the opening of a new exhibition featuring earthenware and painting from Mark Thompson and earthenware from Stephen Bowers. ‘I make a type of pottery widely known as ‘earthenware’ with decoration covered by a clear glaze,” explains Stephen. “This glaze, like the glaze often found on traditional Staffordshire and other earthenware, may across time develop a ‘crazed’ appearance, where the surface layer of glaze exhibits a series of fine cracks”. This exhibition takes place from Friday, February 21 until Saturday, March 15.
