Hit ’90s musical film Sister Act comes to life for toe-tapping performances on the Festival Theatre stage. Nightclub performer Deloris Van Cartier (played by Casey Donovan) is forced to join a convent after being placed in a witness protection program. It’s not long before Deloris is shaking things up, bringing her soulful melodies to the convent’s choir. Casey Donovan stars alongside Genevieve Lemon as Mother Superior and Rhonda Burchmore as Sister Mary Lazarus. This production will feature original Motown-inspired music by award-winning composer Alan Menken, who also created music for Aladdin, Enchanted and The Little Mermaid. Sister Act runs at the Festival Theatre until April 19.
