Following the arrival of American glass artist Dale Chihuly’s mesmerising creations at the Adelaide Botanic Garden, there has been renewed interest in all things glass. In response, from December 6 until March 30, 2025, JamFactory will highlight South Australians working in this unique art form. Gathering Light is curated by JamFactory CEO and artistic director Brian Parkes, and features works from artists Clare Belfrage, Kristel Britcher, Tim Edwards, Liam Fleming, Nick Mount and Jessica Murtagh. The exhibition not only underscores Adelaide’s important role as a centre of glass blowing but also JamFactory’s unbreakable bond with the Pilchuck Glass School, established in the USA by Dale Chihuly in 1971. This installation is presented in collaboration with Chihuly in the Botanic Garden and is displayed in the main gallery and gallery two of JamFactory’s city headquarters.
