Guildhouse proudly presents a creative family adventure on the River Torrens this Easter holidays!

Apr 03, 2025, updated Apr 03, 2025

Families are invited to embark on a one-of-a-kind artistic adventure with a special workshop aboard the iconic Popeye. This unique event will allow participants to create art on the water, guided by renowned Adelaide artist Alice Lindstrom.

Alice Lindstrom’s latest floating artwork on the Popeye boats is a striking addition to the River Torrens (Karrawirra Pari) and sets the scene for this interactive workshop, that’s perfect for primary school children aged from 6–12 years. As families cruise along Adelaide’s landmark waterway, they will be inspired by the river’s natural beauty and learn the art of cut-and-paste collage to create their own unique take-home piece.

This exciting event is part of the inaugural Ramsay Floating Art Commission, honouring the enduring legacy of James and Diana Ramsay and their generous contributions to South Australia’s arts community. Their philanthropic vision continues to shape the state’s cultural landscape, and now families have the opportunity to engage with art in a truly immersive setting.
