This week’s Poet’s Corner contribution is from Kim Geraty.
Clouds would pass (state of change)
Roof deck roaming, late at night
no one in sight
the dark clouds, drenched in moon light
oh what a sight
its dark out there
can’t see ahead
but I got you
my warm glowing red
hearts flutter like a butterfly
beautiful and bold
there’s nothing quite like it
and it never gets old
dimples and wrinkles
the lines of lived life
begrudge them not
how good to be alive
the clouds would pass and cast some shadows
but they soon disappeared
as the bright ball of love and sunshine
would take away their fears
so as I sit by the fire, and watch the logs burn
slowly but surely, into ashes they turn
but the logs they did not truly disappear,
they simply changed the way they appear.
