Hospitality business owners, Sean and Sharlin met when Sean was a regular customer in her restaurant and he recognised her when she visited his Hindmarsh cafe.
The pair soon became friends and, a few months later, began dating. Sean proposed to Sharlin on a ferris wheel on the top of a shopping centre in Osaka in Japan. On their wedding day, they had a traditional tea ceremony and then celebrated with around 170 guests, many of whom travelled from Sharlin’s hometown of Hong Kong. “The whole day was very relaxed and smooth,” Sharlin says. “Even though it was a big wedding, we still managed to spend a lot of time with our guests and mingled with everyone. The best thing of the day was to see all our favourite people in one place.”
