Responding to Millions for farmers after worst harvest in 15 years

15 years?! try 50 years or more. It’s not only Adelaide Hills that’s been in drought! Has the minister not been travelling around his state? This has been coming for the last three years. There has not been a subsurface moisture top-up for many years.  Oh yeah, and the “drought relief” is so conditional that a lot won’t be able to access it unless they have huge businesses! Very microscopic reporting InDaily. – Carolyn Shaw

Responding to Why Dutton bagging China could cost election win

We may agree to disagree on policies, however, I don’t recall any Chinese diplomat publicly degrading or telling us whatsoever to do like Trump & Co. When and if they do, then I may think differently Dutton is not organised, does & says without thinking. The LNP picked a bad rep his time. It is not could, it is has. – Joy

Responding to Football Australia decides Kerr’s post-court fate

Absolutely shocking decision. What example does it set for the young generation? Football Australia should hide its head in shame. Kerr’s behaviour was anything but that of a leading sports star let alone a captain. Take a leaf out if the AFL’s handbook with regard to bad public behaviour. – MicBreidge

Responding to Nationalising the Whyalla Steelworks guarantees our future

Was the decision by BHP when divesting its steel operation the correct one? The splitting of the One Steel long products – Whyalla and Newcastle from the Bluescope Port Kembla – appears to me to have been incorrect and the current problems might have been avoided  – Bill Hecker Forestville
