If you’re looking for a wild, laugh-out-loud and jaw-dropping experience, Elixir Revived is a must-see at Fool’s Paradise this Adelaide Fringe.
Elixir Revived is best described as a mix of Cirque Du Soleil and Magic Mike – offering more action than a movie, more laughs than a stand-up show and an overall unforgettable experience.
The show has received rave reviews, with critics praising its incredible performances and unique blend of comedy and acrobatics.
Presented by the award-winning Head First Acrobats, Elixir Revived is an enhanced version of the ever-popular original Elixir production first staged in 2018 and remains true to the company’s signature style of daring feats, strong narrative and the risqué.
This incarnation features some of the rarest and most dangerous circus apparatus in the world, pushing the limits of what the human body can do.
While the storyline follows four scientists working for an authoritarian pharmaceutical corporation who attempt to create the elixir of life.
As they test their concoctions on themselves, the mayhem that ensues is a perfect blend of physical comedy and athletic prowess.
The show is suitable for audiences who may not have a comprehensive understanding of the English language.
Elixir Revived will be staged in The Vault in what’s been dubbed as the ‘hottest Adelaide Fringe destination’, Fool’s Paradise.
Located in the heart of Adelaide in Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga, Fool’s Paradise promises to be an epicentre of activity, offering a unique blend of circus, cabaret, comedy, music, bubbles and magic across 53 shows for Adelaide Fringe 2025.
Fool’s Paradise is the only current artist-run hub at the Fringe, where creativity flourishes and everyone benefits from the energy and attractions.
The precinct features two unique venues – The Vault and The Lab – each with a stacked program of world-class performances.
Precinct co-director and performer/director Callan Harris said Fool’s Paradise is a “celebration of creativity and community”.
“We are thrilled to bring together artists and audiences in a space where everyone can thrive and enjoy the magic of the Fringe,” Harris added.

In addition to the stellar lineup of shows, Fool’s Paradise will offer an impressive array of food and beverage options from local South Australian producers.
Visitors can also enjoy free mini golf, a giant trapeze and a free music programme with a focus on multicultural friendly music – making it the most interactive, family and wallet-friendly precinct at Adelaide Fringe 2025 by day and a little naughty but still fun and affordable at night.
Harris’s precinct co-director Thomas Gorham, who is also a performer/director, said their goal is to create an inclusive and engaging environment that offers something for everyone.
“From world-class performances to interactive activities and delicious food and drinks, Fool’s Paradise is the place to be this Fringe season,” Gorham said.
“Last year, this thriving central precinct Fool’s Paradise welcomed more than 40,000 visits, with over 24,000 show tickets sold over the course of the season.
“In 2025, we will have increased our programme from 36 to 51 shows and are expecting to exceed last year’s numbers with an expected crowd of at least 65,000.”
