The William Magarey Room at Adelaide Oval will come alive on March 15 when Adelaide talents The Cast bring their infectious upbeat energy to the 2025 ANZ Community Ball.

They are guaranteed to have the room up and dancing, while guests are sure to be spellbound by the mystifying performances of renowned magician and mentalist Matt Tarrant.

This year’s host charity is Hutt St Centre, which supports people experiencing homelessness.

The organisation provides immediate relief with essential services such as meals, showers and medical care, as well as offering pathways toward long-term housing and long-term stability through education and employment opportunities.

This year’s ball will also raise funds to support the work of Cure 4CF (funding medical research in a cystic fibrosis cure), Guide Dogs SA/NT, Kickstart for Kids, the Women and Children’s Hospital Foundation and Zoos South Australia.

Hutt St Centre chief executive Chris Burns highlighted the importance of the ANZ Community Ball for these local charities and Hutt Street Centre.

“Every day, over 7,000 South Australians experience homelessness, including families, older women and young people,” he said.

“The funds raised through this event will play a critical role in ensuring individuals have access to essential services and support they need as we walk with them on their journey from homelessness to homefulness.”

The ANZ Community Ball has become a cornerstone event celebrating South Australian communities, having raised an impressive $1.4 million for local charities over its previous five events.

The evening is designed to not only bring together the community to work collaboratively in raising vital funds, but to also showcase the best produce and entertainment the state has to offer.

Guests will have multiple opportunities to contribute through one of the major fundraising efforts for the evening, including a car raffle a live auction, wine wall, gin cocktail bar and silent auction.

The prize in the car raffle is a Yaris Cross Hybrid GX 1.5L Auto CVT Hatch (valued at $36,250 drive away), donated by Peter Kittle Toyota. Tickets are on sale before the event, with only 1000 available.

Adrianne Oliveri, ANZ’s state general manager, Small to Medium Enterprise said the event is a highlight for their people.

“The entire ANZ team is looking forward to another successful ANZ Community Ball in 2025,” she said.

“Each year we host the Community Ball to celebrate the South Australian community while also raising funds for local charities.

“The event wouldn’t be possible without the backing of our sponsors including Peter Kittle Toyota, Solstice Media, Yalumba and Network 10,” Oliveri said.

“The supporting businesses make this a spectacular community event, so if your business is interested in joining as a sponsor please reach out.”

Burns said the Hutt St Centre is honoured to be part of the 2025 ANZ Community Ball, an event he said “showcases the incredible impact of community generosity in addressing homelessness across South Australia”.

Oliveri is also looking forward to the party atmosphere of the evening and building on last year’s successes, when more 500 guests helped to raise $230,000.

“Tickets are now on sale, we hope that you can join us to make this yet another fabulous event.”
