Arrests, injuries after car hits three motorcycles

A man has been charged with fighting in public and causing harm by dangerous driving after a car hit three motorcycles following an alleged incident at Henley Beach last night.

Police said that patrols were called to Henley Beach at about 11:10pm after reports of an altercation outside a licensed premises.

Several people left the scene on motorycles, heading north on Seaview Road.

Shortly after at about 11.30, emergency services were called to the intersection of Seaview and Grange roads after a Nissan X-Trail that had been travelling north hit three motorcycles.

Police said two motorcyclists, a 20-year-old Davoren Park man and a 20-year-old Elizabeth Grove man – were taken to the RAH with for non-life threatening injuries, while a third man left the scene on foot and was not located.

A 41-year-old Clearview man driving the car was arrested and taken to hospital as a precaution. He has been charged with fighting in a public place, and two counts of cause harm by dangerous driving.

He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on March 18.

His passenger, a 20-year-old Clearview man, was also arrested and charged with fighting in a public place. He will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on March 4.
