Woolworths stores across the country will be closed on Christmas Day.
Trading hours on Boxing Day will be largely consistent for the states and territories, excluding a handful of stores.

Almost without exception, Coles stores across the country will be closed on Christmas Day and open on all other days.

Aldi stores across Australia will also be closed on Christmas Day.
All stores will be open for reduced trading hours on Tuesday, December 24.
Stores will reopen on Boxing Day, Thursday, December 26, with reduced trading hours.
Stores will generally be open through New Year’s Day, with reduced hours on December 31 and January 1. Some South Australian stores will be closed on New Year’s Day.

Most IGA stories will be open on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.
Some IGA stores may be open for limited times on Christmas Day, depending on their individual locations.
IGA recommends contacting stories directly to check opening hours via the store locator on the IGA website.
If you need to dash out and grab an emergency bottle of prosecco, you do have a few options.
All BWS and Dan Murphy’s stores will be open on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.
But best not to leave your last-minute purchases to the big day.

Many 7-Eleven stores will be open on Christmas Day during normal trading hours.

And most major petrol stations will be open on Christmas Day, if you need to grab petrol, or a litre of milk.
