A boutique Adelaide Hills winemaker has made three exclusive signature wines for global entertainment brand Tomorrowland.
Three Adelaide Hills-grown wines from maker Anvers will be offered at Tomorrowland’s Belgium-based electronic music events and are now for sale in Australia.
The winemaker and Tomorrowland entered into an exclusive agreement for the range dubbed ‘Acta Non Verba’.
Owner and managing director Wayne Keoghan said the link between the two companies was one of “quality and excellence”.
“I met my wife in Belgium and ‘Anvers’ is a nod to Myriam’s home of Antwerp,” Keoghan said.
“Since establishing our vineyard in 1998, we have had a growing legion of fans of our wines across Australia, Europe, Canada and Japan.
“When we were introduced to the amazing Belgian team at Tomorrowland and started talking about a cross pollination of our wines at their events, it all just clicked.”
The term ‘Acta Non Verba’ translates from Latin to ‘deeds, not words’, and Keoghan said that “perfectly describes how both Tomorrowland and Anvers Wines approach life and business”.
The 2021 Shiraz was selected from Anvers’ best parcels of the vintage, the winemaker said, and combined berry and spice flavours with dark plum and blackberry fruit of Langhorne Creek Shiraz.
The drop was matured for 20 months in French oak barrels, and just 3000 bottles of the Shiraz were produced.
The Chardonnay was selected from Anvers estate vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, and boasts bright fruit aromas reminiscent of white nectarines. Only 4800 bottles were produced.
Finally, the Syrah Rose was hand-picked at Anvers’ Hills vineyard then gently bunch pressed to extract only pale pink free run juice from the berries.
Anvers said it displayed vibrant cool climate red berry fruit aromas and flavour.
“Everything we do is about quality and we’re delighted with these three exceptional wines,” Keoghan said.
“Our Acta Non Verba wines are yet another wonderful example of our commitment to settling the standard.
“I have no doubt Australian wine lovers will be as delighted as our worldwide fans with these latest additions to our range.”
