For the fourteenth survey in a row, Mark Ricciuto, Laura O’Callaghan and Chris Dittmar’s Triple M program is the number one breakfast show on Adelaide airwaves.

According to the seventh GfK radio ratings survey of the year, the trio maintained their number one spot and secured an extra 1.8 per cent share of listeners.

They now boast 14.8 per cent of the total breakfast audience in Adelaide – more than two percentage points above their closest rival.

FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings took the number two spot in this survey, rising by 1 percentage point to leapfrog ABC Radio Adelaide’s Sonya Feldhoff and Jules Schiller who lost half a point of market share at breakfast.

Hot on Sonya and Jules’ heels were Nova 91.9’s Jodie Oddy and Andrew Hayes (10.6 per cent) and Mix 102.3’s Max Burford and Ali Clarke (10.4 per cent).

The sixth position for breakfast was SAFM, which Rebecca Morse and Mark Soderstrom hosted during the period the survey monitored.

The duo bagged 7.8 per cent of listenership, 1.2 per cent less than the previous survey.

In October, Morse revealed her contract at SAFM had not been renewed, while Soderstrom earlier announced on-air that he was stepping away from breakfast radio.

“I was told on Tuesday that my contract would not be renewed and was offered the opportunity to see out the week,” Morse said in an Instagram post.

“Unfortunately the way the events unfolded meant I felt emotionally unable to return to the studio so I want to say sorry to the SAFM family that I didn’t say goodbye.

“I am grateful for the past six years, the lifelong friends I’ve made and the things they’ve taught me about radio.”

Bec & Soda co-hosted the breakfast radio show on SAFM for the past 6 years.

After Morse’s announcement SAFM announced its new breakfast show, Bernie & Emma G, with hosts Bernie Vince and Emma Georgiadis.

Mix 102.3 kept its overall lead of Adelaide airwaves for the second survey in a row with a steady 13.5 per cent.

The biggest riser overall was FIVEaa which placed fourth but increased its total market share by 0.9 percentage points.

Across demographics, Nova kept its top spot for those aged 10-39, while Triple M steals the number one spot for those aged 40-54.

Mix 102.3 is the station of choice for those aged 55-64, and ABC Radio Adelaide is the preferred station for those aged 65+ despite losing 1 per cent of that market in the latest survey.

Across timeslots, Mix 102.3 and Triple M are neck and neck in the morning and afternoon sessions, but Mix peels away in the drive slot to be the favourite during peak hour traffic.

Again, Leith Forrest at FIVEaa maintains his solid hold of the evening timeslot – about three per cent above his closest rival at Mix.
