The Seppeltsfield 1925 100-Year-Old Para Vintage Tawny launch marks the 48th consecutive release from the Centennial Collection.
The Seppeltsfield 1925 100-Year-Old Para Vintage Tawny has been released to coincide with the day the Seppelt family – founders of Seppeltsfield – moved into the Barossa homestead in 1851.
This marks the 48th consecutive release from the Centennial Collection – the world’s only unbroken lineage of single vintage Tawny. This dates back to 1878 and spans 148 consecutive vintages.
Seppeltsfield is known for its fortified, specifically through this collection.

Second-generation Seppeltsfield owner Oscar ‘Benno’ Seppelt built the Centennial Cellar in 1878 which is now a museum of Australian winemaking.
It began as Benno instructed a puncheon of Seppeltsfield’s finest wine to be bottled for 100 years.
“As custodians of the Seppeltsfield Centennial Collection, we are proud of the amazing legacy and vision of ‘Benno’ Oscar Seppelt, son of our founders Joseph and Johanna Seppelt, dating back to 1878,” chief Seppeltsfield winemaker, Fiona Donald says.
“The wine shows a deep mahogany colour, with a vibrant amber edge. Immediately luscious, with incredible volume and mouthfeel, lingering flavours of bittersweet dark chocolate and hazelnuts.
“The freshness and length is driven by blood orange acidity.”
The Seppeltsfield 100-Year-Old Para Vintage Tawny is the inaugural wine inducted into the ‘James Halliday Hall of Fame’.
It retails for $1800 in 100ml format, including a gift box.
Each box is individually numbered and authenticated, including signatures from executive chairman and proprietor, Warren Randall, along with great, great grandson of Seppeltsfield founders, Bill Seppelt.
It is available for purchase by visiting the Seppeltsfield Cellar Door at 730 Seppeltsfield Road, Seppeltsfield or through the website.
