The South Australian Business Chamber and the Australia Day Council of South Australia are joining forces to bring you an International Women’s Day luncheon with this year’s theme, “March Forward”. The keynote speaker is the South Australian of the Year, Professor Leah Bromfield, Director and Chair of Child Protection at the Australian Centre for Child Protection, who developed the first evidence-based analysis of child protection practice frameworks.
Professor Bromfield will join a panel alongside Amber Brock-Fabel (2025 Young South Australian of the Year) and Sobia Hashmi (2025 SA Local Hero Award). A business panel is also on the program, featuring Carla Kruger (Director of People & Culture, Mitsubishi), Laura Schonfeldt (Chief People Officer, RAA) and Verity Gobbett (CEO, Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation). They’ll be discussing their career journeys and the specific challenges they’ve overcome as women.
