Southstart is back for 2025. The South Australian festival of start-ups, innovation and future thinking, held across multiple venues, will feature speakers such as Phil Morle, partner at Main Sequence Ventures, and Allys Todd, co-Founder and CEO at ValAi.
Director Danielle Seymour says: “At _SOUTHSTART, we don’t see ourselves as a conference in the traditional sense of the word. At a conference, guards are often up, personal agendas are rigid and set well in advance, and there’s a very defined line between speakers and delegates. Instead, we see ourselves as more of a community offsite for founders, investors, and those who champion and create change.”
The event is split into three sections: GROW (4 March), IMMERSE (5 March) and CONNECT (6 March). GROW will feature masterclasses on topics such as leadership and brand building. IMMERSE will see attendees engaging in “deep, profound questions” such as the future of the planet. CONNECT offers industry summits for networking within specific fields, including sovereign technology, agritech and food security. Innovation Bay will also bring its Aurora community of over 120 venture capital fund partners to the event. More details are available on the event website.
