Wolfmother, The Chats, Mondo Psycho and more are set to play at this year’s Beer & BBQ Festival across the June long weekend. See the full lineup.

The Beer & BBQ Fest will return for its 10th year this coming June long weekend, with the independent music festival spanning three nights at the Adelaide Showgrounds.

Australian band Wolfmother will headline on Friday night. Best known for their 2005 track ‘Joker And The Thief’, the bands career spans across two decades led by lead singer Andrew Stockdale.

Saturday night will see Australian band The Chats, coincidently called ‘thechatslovebeer’ on Instagram. This year, they’re set to play at festivals like Leeds, Reading and of course, the Beer & BBQ Festival.

New Zealand’s Tim Finn will close the birthday party on Sunday night. He’s an ARIA Hall of Famer, and former band member of Crowded House and Split Enz.

Other artists like CASH: The American Recordings, Dick Move, Mulga Bore Hard Rock and more are also set to play.

South Australian artists include Mondo Psycho, My Cherie and Free Drinks.

The full brewer and BBQ program – which has previously seen the likes of Matty Matheson of The Bear make an appearance – will be announced in April.

Co-director of Beer & BBQ Festival and General Admission Entertainment, Gareth Lewis, says that during a cost-of-living crisis “festivals, beer, hospitality, food and live music are five of the toughest industries to be in”.

“I am fully aware that Beer & BBQ Festival is a luxury, but it’s one that I think we all deserve,” he says.

“If you’ve ever been to a Beer & BBQ Fest event, we want to have a beer with you in June, because without your support right now, this may well be the last one.”

Fellow co-director Aaron Sandow says “supporting independent festivals is imperative to the industries we love surviving and thriving”.

“We are so proud of this little thought bubble festival to have survived a decade, and we want it to be around for the next decade,” he says.

“The thousands of small businesses, teams, artists, stall holders and brands it has supported and that have supported us over the past ten years is the reason we do it.”
